At TwelveOaks, we offer Engineered Hardwood, Luxury Vinyl, Laminate, and our brand new innovative Gemtec Hardwood flooring.

What type of flooring do you recommend for residential use?

All our flooring is suitable for residential use.

What type of flooring do you recommend for commercial use?

For commercial use, we would recommend flooring type that can withstand heavier foot traffic such as our luxury vinyl flooring or laminate flooring.

What type of flooring do you recommend for condos and high rise?

For condos and high rise, we recommend flooring that allows for floating or click installations.

What is FloorScore®?

FloorScore® is the most recognized indoor air quality (IAQ) certification standard for hard surface flooring materials, adhesives, and underlayment. It is a voluntary, independent certification program. Developed by SCS with the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI), a leading industry trade association of flooring manufacturers and suppliers, it qualifies for many green building schemes including LEED v4, WELL, BREEAM, CHPS, and Green Globes.

What is TwelveOaks’ take on being environment + sustainability?

At TwelveOaks, we believe the responsibly sourced and manufactured flooring is the key. Therefore we make sure all our woods are sustainably sourced, FloorScore certified and CARB/EPA certified. We also use only virgin material for vinyl that are fully recyclable.

What is formaldehyde emission? And does TwelveOaks products contain them?

All of Twelve Oaks® products meet the industry product quality and health and safety standards. We voluntarily comply with several of the most stringent emission standards to ensure that all our products are safe to use. Twelve Oaks® brand of products have all been FloorScore® certified, and our engineered product are also CARB Phase II compliant and EPA 40 C.F.R. 770 compliant.

Are TwelveOaks Products safe for children and pets?

Yes, zero formaldehyde makes all our products safe for children and pets.

What are the different installation methods?
  1. Nail Down – the boards are fastened to a plywood subfloor using cleats or staples
  2. Glue Down – the boards are glued to the subfloor with a special adhesive for wood flooring
  3. Floating – the boards are glued to each other, but not to the subfloor below. The entire floor ‘floats’ on a cushioned underlay.
  4. Click – a popular variation on floating installation in which the boards have a specially designed joint system that allows the boards to be ‘clicked’ together without glue or fasteners.
