How to Maintain & Clean?

1. How do you clean your laminate flooring and which products?

Use a gentle cleanser to spot-clean visibly dirty areas, and always follow up by wiping the area with a dry, absorbent cloth.

One simple cleaner that works well with laminate is: 1 part rubbing alcohol + 3 parts water + a squirt of dish soap, applied using a lightly dampened cloth. Or you can always purchase Bona Laminate Floor Cleaner at the stores.

1. What is the warranty on TwelveOaks Laminate Products?

We extend a 30-year Residential and 5-year Commercial Warranty to our 12mm Laminate flooring, a  25-year Residential and 3-year Commercial Warranty to our 8mm Laminate flooring, and a 25-year Residential and 5-year Commercial Warranty to our Signature 5G Laminate flooring.

2. Can you spill water on laminate flooring?

Yes, Laminate flooring is water resistant. However, it should be cleaned up as soon as possible to avoid penetration of the water, so minimal damage can occur.

3. What do you do if some planks pop up?

Moisture and temperature changes, improper installation, expansion of the boards and subflooring problems can cause laminate floors to pop up. Please keep the temperature at 65-80ºF (18-27ºC) and relative humidity level of 35-55% all year round to avoid planks popping up. If the pop-up was caused by flooding, a leak, an inadequate moisture barrier or a problem with the subfloor, please call a professional for help.
